Buzz Fantasy Golf commissioner service is a traditional fantasy golf application that allows users to create their own custom fantasy golf league. League commissioners can select from different scoring systems, draft options, golfers, and golf tournaments to customize their fantasy league. The rules for this service are explained below.
There are no refunds for the fantasy golf commissioner service. Honoring refund requests will be subject to the sole discretion of Buzz Fantasy Golf.
Private and Public LeaguesPrivate and public fantasy golf leagues created and managed using the Buzz Fantasy Golf commissioner service are
for entertainment purposes only. By creating and running a league using the Buzz Fantasy Golf commmissioner
service, you agree to abide by all federal and state gambling laws and regulations. If you collect any entry
fee for your fantasy golf league, you agree to abide by the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of
2006, which states:
All prizes and awards offered to winning participants are established and made known to the participants
in advance of the game or contest and their value is not determined by the number of participants or the
amount of any fees paid by participants.All winning outcomes reflect the relative knowledge and skill of
the participants and are determined predominantly by accumulated statistical results of the performance
of individuals (athletes in the case of sports events) in multiple real-world sporting or other events.
No winning outcome is based: a) On the score, point spread, or any performance or performances of any
single real-world team or any combination of such teams; b) or solely on any single performance of an
individual athlete in any single real-world sporting or other event.
Buzz Fantasy Golf does not collect any league entry fees and does not pay out any league prizes. Buzz Fantasy Golf only charges a service fee for using the Fantasy Golf Commissioner Service software. If a commissioner of a league is collecting a league entry fee, it is highly recommended to use TeamStake.com (https://www.teamstake.com/) for the collection and distributing of league fees and prizes. It is also highly recommended for anyone joining a public league to refrain from paying entry fees that are not processed using TeamStake.com (https://www.teamstake.com/). Buzz Fantasy Golf is not responsible for any lost entry fees, fraudulent activities related to league entry fees or prizes, or disputes regarding the collection of fees or payment of prizes.
Any misconduct by commissioners in an attempt to fraud users of their money will result in them being banned from the website permanently, and the proper authorities may be contacted.
The user who creates the league will serve as the commissioner and will be responsible for resolving any disputes that arise, such as drafting, scoring, or rules violations or any other matters that may come up in connection with the league.
You may sign up and play in a custom league up until the registration deadline for the specific fantasy golf league. The registration deadline will be the date of the first tournament or an entry deadline set by the commissioner of the league. You must be a registered Buzz Fantasy Golf user to join and participate in a private or public league.
EligibilityBuzz Fantasy Golf private and public leagues are open to those at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Commissioners will be able to choose one of the following team selection options:
The commissioner will set a maximum amount of fantasy dollars/points you will be able to spend on your team. The commissioner will set a number of golfers that you will need to select to fill your team. The combined dollar/point amount of all of your drafted golfers must be equal or less than the maximum dollar/points set up for the fantasy golf league.
Tiered Team SelectionWith tiered team selection, the commissioner breaks up golfers into different groups based on their skill level. The commissioner will set a number of golfers you must choose from each of the different tiers. A commissioner can set up to 20 tiers to choose from.
Weighted Team SelectionA fantasy golf league with a weighted team selection will allow you to choose golfers and place them into a weighted group. Each golfer in a weighted group will have their earnings multiplied by the amount associated with that group. A weighted team selection type can have up to 20 weighted groups. As a team owner, you will have a set number of golfers that you must draft for each group. This set number of golfers is determined by the commissioner.
Draft/Auction Team SelectionThis option is for leagues that run a draft or auction separately from BuzzFantasyGolf.com. Buzz Fantasy Golf does not offer live drafting or auctions at this time. It will be the commissioner's responsibility to enter each team's roster after your draft or auction is complete. This team selection type allows for golfers to be owned by only one team in your league.
Choose Any Team SelectionThis option allows team owners to select any golfers that are available in your fantasy golf league.
Commissioners will be able to choose one of the following scoring systems:
Fantasy golf leagues with the earnings scoring system will use the golfer's tournament earnings to determine your team's value. There may be one to many tournaments used in a fantasy golf league. The golfer earnings from all of the tournaments will be accumulated to determine each team's score.
To Par ScoringFantasy golf leagues with the to par scoring system will use the golfer's to par score to determine your team's value. The to par scoring system can only be used with a single tournament league. A golfer must make the cut to qualify for this type of scoring system. The lowest combined score for your team of golfers will determine the winner. A set number of golfers to accumulate will be set by the commissioner of the league, and you must have at least that many golfers on your team make the cut to qualify to win.
Place Finished ScoringWith this scoring type, scoring will be based where each golfer places in each tournament. The commissioner can set the points to award for a 1st place finish, a bonus amount for finishing in 1st place, and points to subtract for each place below 1st place.
Strokes ScoringScoring will be based on the amount of strokes a golfer has in each tournament. This option can be set to accumulate points by tournament round or by total strokes. The commissioner can set the points to award for the lowest amount of strokes, a bonus amount for finishing in 1st place, and points to subtract for each stroke above the lowest stroke amount.
Result Category ScoringScoring will be based on golfer result categories. This option allows the commissioner to award points for 1st place finishes, 2nd place finishes, 3rd place finishes, top 10 finishes, top 25 finishes, making a cut, missing a cut, and shooting a low round in a tournament.
Custom ScoringCustom scoring allows the commissioner to set points for the follwing categories/statistics:
Custom scoring also allows the commissioner to set points for any and all places finished.
Scores and stats are updated within 24 hours of the completed tournament. Some events beyond Buzz Fantasy Golf'
control can make this time longer. Thus, Buzz Fantasy Golf is not responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of
the statistics.
All stats for a given PGA Tour week are deemed final at noon on Friday of the next week. Even if the PGA Tour changes
a stat several weeks later, it will not be changed by Buzz Fantasy Golf. Nonetheless, Buzz Fantasy Golf still
reserves the right to change any stat at any time for any unforeseen reason.
Buzz Fantasy Golf is not responsible for any inaccuracies, representations, statements, graphics or content of
materials that are uploaded onto its servers and website from other vendors, including but not limited to the PGA,
the Associated Press, and users, members, subscribers, customers or participants.
By registering, you agree to abide by the general sportsmanship rules set forth in these rules and fantasy games in general. You further agree to accept and abide by the rulings and the decisions of Buzz Fantasy Golf regarding all questions of sportsmanship. Sportsmanship broadly includes actions such as abusive postings and communication, colluding with other teams in the league, and any other actions not conducive to decent, fair, and honest play. If an owner refused to comply with the sportsmanship rules, or that an owner has acted in an unsportsmanlike manner, Buzz Fantasy Golf reserves the right to disqualify the owner and/or remove that owner from the league without a refund. All decisions by Buzz Fantasy Golf will be final.
Inappropriate, Offensive, or Commercial CommunicationThe league message boards, league news and league email are provided to facilitate communication with other league owners and enhance the enjoyment of your league. Buzz Fantasy Golf does not permit posting or sending messages or images, to include logos and avatars, that could be construed as offensive to other owners. Inappropriate communication can also include spamming team owners with commercial offers and/or posting commercial messages on the league message board. Team owners who violate these guidelines are subject to being restricted from posting in the league. Additionally, Buzz Fantasy Golf reserves the right to disqualify the owner and/or remove that owner from the league without a refund. All decisions by Buzz Fantasy Golf will be final. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Buzz Fantasy Leagues which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest. Buzz Fantasy Leagues reserves the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the registration process or operations of the Contest and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. Buzz Fantasy Golf assumes no responsibility for any error, omissions, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation with transmission, communications, line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or allegation of entries. Buzz Fantasy Leagues is not responsible for any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, equipment or software, failure of any email or user action to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, phone lines, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to a participant's computer related to or resulting from participation in the Contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE LEAGUES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, Buzz Fantasy Golf RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
LiabilityBuzz Fantasy Golf is not responsible for any late, lost, garbled, misdirected, incomplete, or damaged entries; any Contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Buzz Fantasy Golf or any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest. Buzz Fantasy Golf or any subsidiary or affiliated company of any of the foregoing, are not in any way responsible or liable for any damage, loss or injury (including death) resulting from participation in the Contest and/or acceptance and use of any prize won. Buzz Fantasy Golf is solely responsible for enacting, administering, enforcing the rules, and maintaining the integrity of the Contest. The Contest and web site are not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affliated with, the PGA Tour.
ReleaseBy participating in the Contest, you release and agree to hold harmless Buzz Fantasy Golf, its sponsors, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agencies from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries and losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory.
Official RulesBuzz Fantasy Golf commissioner service is subject to all United States laws, and to the Leagues official rules, and cannot be used in connection with any form of gambling. By entering or creating a fantasy golf league, you agree to abide by the terms of the official rules and by the decisions of Buzz Fantasy Golf, which are final on all matters pertaining to the service. Buzz Fantasy Golf reserves the right to change the official rules at any time, in their sole discretion.
